We run seasonal Chinese culture camps throughout the year for children aged 4–10. Each camp brings Chinese culture, nature and joyful hands-on activities together, with Mandarin as the everyday language of the week.

Our well-loved cultural camps are designed for children 4–10 years old and run throughout both local and international school holiday periods. Each week features a new cultural theme, and the activities, meals and experiences are thoughtfully designed around that central theme. Children enjoy a peaceful, nurturing environment, taking part in hands-on activities, creative experiments, outdoor exploration, and even an exciting field trip.

Designed for children with basic levels of Chinese proficiency and up, every child can take part confidently and enjoy the cultural activities in a meaningful, joyful way. Just check out our Google reviews to see the fun we have had in the past!

The camp is conducted entirely in Mandarin. Children should be comfortable following Mandarin — typically around 6 months of regular Mandarin exposure at home or in school.

September 2026 Chinese Reading Camp

24, 25, 28, 29 and 30 September 2026

Five single days of Chinese reading and expression — picture books read closely, stories acted out, and a garden treasure hunt to get the words off the page. Join for one day or all five.

Ages: 6–10 years old
Format: Single days, 9AM-3PM — join for one day or all five
Language level: Comfortable understanding and speaking Mandarin at a local primary school level

Autumn 2026 Chinese Culture Camp

September and October 2026

Three autumn camp weeks in September and October, each built around a different Chinese cultural theme — architecture, intangible heritage, and classic stories brought to the stage.

Format: 5 full days per week, Mon-Fri, 9AM-3PM

Winter 2026 Chinese Culture Camp

November and December 2026, January 2027

Five winter camp weeks from late November through the new year, alternating between poetic winter handcrafts and lively traditional temple fair games.

An exciting collaboration between Haoxue Chinese and The Mindful Camp with immersive Chinese mornings and adventurous afternoons at Dulwich College.

Our most popular summer camps return with multiple weeks, new themes every week and an immersive Chinese culture experience conducted in Mandarin.
